Section Felling
Occasionally, when an unsafe tree becomes a hazard to the public or property it is necessary to completely remove a tree.
Rarely do we find the situation where a tree can be felled directly, so it has to be cut down in sections, lowering each section using special rigging techniques and equipment (ropes, pulleys and breaking devices) that enable the tree to be literally dismantled without damaging property or the surrounding environment e.g. lawn, garden walls etc.

Directional Felling
Certain situations may require a whole tree to be felled directly. Whether the tree is unsafe to climb or perhaps the size of the surrounding space makes direct felling a better option. Safe felling requires great care and precision. Special directional felling cuts are used which direct the tree down to the ground towards the planned directional target in a safe way. Sometimes for added safety, felling ropes, pulley systems or winches can be used to help direct the fall of the tree. |
